Saffron is a quiet Persian table. From the kilim runners and brass lanterns of the dining room to a menu of zereshk polo, crisp tahdig, and slow-braised khoresh drawn from the home kitchens of Tehran and Isfahan, the restaurant was conceived as a warm neighborhood place where friends linger over long, unhurried meals. The wine list leans toward small growers working the old vines of the eastern Mediterranean, and the bar stays open late for pistachio baklava, a pot of sour-cherry tea, and a last glass.
